I really love this belief that some ancients had that said the universe was made from drumming.
Stuff like this(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8nRz6lgDEFY) is cool. I know the link is for indian drumming, but I am interested in all types of drumming. I am just looking for music that is drum soloists or is more emphasised on the drums.
I couldn’t find anything else like it after looking for days. Please point me in the right direction to find quality drumming.

I’m sorry I don’t have an answer for you but rather something I read a while back that I thought was interesting and along the lines of what you are thinking. I read an interview with one of the drummers from the Grateful Dead. Someone had given him an African talking drum and he was talking about how he just became sort of hypnotically obsessed with the drum, playing it for days on end at a time with almost no food or sleep. Kind of ties into the whole thing you are talking about. Maybe search on some African talking drum music.
