Can you take a fully preserved bird’s wing on a domestic or international flight?
I am a student of shamanic studies, and I have a preserved wing that I do not wish to be parted with. Is it possible to take this item on domestic and international flights? It has been fully and properly preserved. Thank you!!
The wing is not from any of these species of bird.
Hi there! It really depends on what kind of bird the wing belongs to. If it is any bird of prey,Owl, Hawk, Eagle, you stand to be in very big trouble if you are not Native American and do not hold a card to possess a feather. If it is any other species of bird, you can legally carry it, however they may confiscate the wing due to ignorance. I would hate to see that happen to you. My advice would be to call ahead to your airline. Explain your situation and see what they say. You may just need to notify them and have some sort of clearance. You are the keeper of this symbol and tool, not the owner. We do not own what belongs to or comes from the earth. If you are to carry this wing, you will. If not, trust, do not question.
