Over 40,000 years ago the first shamans ventured into the spirit realms in search of wisdom and healing. What they found was a secret world of teachers, animal spirits, and the soul fragments of those suffering in the ordinary world. On The Soul Retrieval Journey, you will join Sandra Ingerman (director of the Foundation for Shamanic Studies) as she shares the rituals of the shaman and explains ho…
There’s a guy who’s done music with people all over the world for years, and none of the words are real – his premise is that music is the language, and no one has to speak the same words. I had two of his CD’s – I think one is in my husband’s car, but I may have leant the other one to someone.
Anyway, I can’t remember his name or the names of his CD’s (I’m pretty sure they had Roman numerals in a couple).
Can anyone help me out? I’m making a new Pandora station with music from the Avatar soundtrack and The Medicine Man soundtracks, and his would fit great – I just can’t remember the name!
Thanks so much!
No, it’s not that. It’s orchestra music like that in Avatar, Medicine Man, Hook, Contact, and others. Not jazz.
There’s an entire musical genre devoted to that philosophy — a branch of jazz called “scat”.
Edit: Still, musical genres aren’t static. Part of scat may have leaked into orchestral music.

Your first Battlegrounds as a PvP healer (wowinsider)
_WoW Insider covers the world of player vs. player action in Blood Sport for
fans of Battleground, world PvP and Arena play. Steering you to victory is
Olivia Grace, who spends most of her time in Azeroth as a Restoration Shaman
turning people into frogs._
You’ve probably heard it approximately a hundred times in Battlegrounds,
particularly if you play as either Horde or Alliance. Yep, they both have
their moments — the faction you’re not in is no better than the grass is
really greener on the other side of the walls of Orgrimmar. But that aside,
you’ve probably heard people bemoaning the lack of PvP healers. “Hey,” you
think to yourself (like a good, contributing member of the team), “I’ve got
that healer I leveled … Maybe I should bring that character along to the
next Battleground I do!”
That would be your first experience of the sheer, unadulterated joy of healing
Battlegrounds. You may note a small quantity of sarcasm there; you’ll be
cursing your kind heart as you’re repeatedly ROFLstomped by two DKs.
So how do you avoid your repeated untimely demise and start topping the
healing chart in your local Battleground? And …
